“I use Sports Jelly for my races, they are a great product... soft flavour and the consistency is great, even without water and it doesn’t feel like a paste in the mouth.”
Kilian Jornet, World Champion Endurance Runner Jan 2020
“I love Mountain Fuel, particularly when I use the whole system on race days. The Sports Jellies are the best gels I’ve ever used and the flapjack bars are so much easier to eat on the run than other bars I’ve used.”
Jon Albon, World Trail Running Champion / Obstacle Race World Champion

Used this for the first time on a recent mountain run. I'd be twitchy about using the Blackcurrant with white running kit. It's a surprisingly bright colour. But it was great flavour-wise. For Ribena-fans who find the usual synthetic blackcurrant or blackcurrant-and-apple flavours a bit synthetic and disappointing this stuff delivers significantly better and more natural taste. I think one sachet in a 500ml bottle is quite a punchy drink. I'll probably use it in bigger bottles in future but will definitely be getting more of this.
Could sip on this all day - the added BCAAs and creatine really help my performance especially during longer runs and I've found my recovery is improved. Absolute must when it's hot - easiest way to get fuel in ??
I have been running ultras for a few years and love the energy drink. It doesn't upset my stomach like other brands I tried and I don't get bored of the tase even after hours of running.
This drink is amazing, have found it really refreshing on a run and helps keep me moving
Have used for sometime as my go to carb drink when cycling (recently at the Dirty Reiver and Fred Whitton). Tastes great, goes down easily and provides a steady supply of carbs throughout the rides.
Used every day on the Cape Wrath Ultra and they are great. Really tasty and refreshing, and not sickly sweet. Mixed well and nearly always topped up from fresh mountain streams. No tummy problems. Word of caution - be careful adding the powder to your bottle if it’s a bit windy! ?

Love Mountain Fuel and have been using Xtreme Energy sachets for all my races since 2016. Used to use blackcurrant until the "raw" version was offered. Absolutely love this version. It isn't flavourless, but just tastes refreshing. I find I don't get flavour fatigue so much when using this for ultras and trail marathons. I love knowing that I have my hydration, carbs and electrolytes covered and then I supplement with real food. This and the chocolate flavoured Ultimate Recovery are my go-to products for every race.
This is my absolute go-to for fluid based fuelling and hydration. No worries about gut problems, no flavour overload just well-balanced, effective fuelling. As a latecomer to endurance sport, the learning curve has been made easier with Mountain Fuel as a no-brainer.
I use this during ultras either in drop bags or with road support and find it to be really good at helping keep energy levels balanced and to replace lost fluids. I find protein bars can be hard to digest so having it in liquid form is v helpful. I think It tastes more like chocolate milk than an energy drink, doesn't taste too artificial and dissolves quickly in a sports drink bottle.
