Team GB Claim World Trail Silver
Congratulations to Team GB World Trail Team with a well deserved Silver.
Great runs for all the team with Jonathan Albon taking the overall win. Next counter was debutant and our local lad (Keswick Athletic Club) Carl Bell 13th showing what we all thought in the fell running world, this lad can compete with the best of them. Unfortunately our Ricky Lightfoot started well but a niggling knee issue worsened throughout the run but he still finished 46th despite this, which is fantastic.
Katie Kaars Sijpesteijn was out 3rd counter for the women’s GB team and was delighted with her result 32nd lady, especially after kissing a tree on a descent (never a good idea to run into trees )
Also great run too for Henriette Albon, making her debut for Norway and finishing in 41st and was delighted with her run but admits she went a little too hard early on but superb experience for the next one.
